 Barbie Brady is a contemporary painter with a flare for romanticizing
the mundane. Her inspiration draws directly from a rich family history
of creativity and expression. Barbie is a Los Angeles based artist
with a Hollywood style. Her artwork has been shown in four museums
and over 40 professional shows in seven states.
There is a quintessential simplicity to the objects she paints which allows for
individual and emotional connections. Barbie comments on her current work by
saying, "I can look at a collection of glassware and see my eight best friends.
Objects are as personal and expressive as portraits, yet they say different things
to different people." In these impressionist pieces, Barbie explores the
symbology of objects as people, events, places, and time.
